I do mine with a diagnostic tool, but this is the instruction for manual cancellation from Vida. There is no mention of having to access trip 2 and the service menu.

◾Ignition switch position I. (push the start button briefly)
◾Press and hold in the OK-button on the left steering wheel stalk.
◾Ignition switch position II. (push and hold the start button again for at least 2 seconds, until the dashboard warning lights illuminate, whilst continuing to hold the OK button down.
◾Wait for 10*seconds still holding the OK button down.
◾Release the button when the information light starts to flash.
◾Allow the control modules to shut down normally (set the ignition to the OFF position for at least 3 minutes before any attempt to restart or energise the ignition. All doors should normally be closed during and for the same period of time after the procedure, as I believe an open door prevents the control modules shutting down, or re-awakens them if it is opened).
