Unfortunately it isn't as clean as I'd like as there was quite a thick layer of oil, grime, spider webs, leaves and general road filth all over the engine but then what do you expect for a 30 year old engine?! I've used a strong degreaser, a whole bottle of carburettor cleaner and wd40 with scraping the filth off and using a stiff bristled brush to scrub it all and I'm still struggling to shift some of the filth!
