When jump starting, it took nearly 1/2 hour which I assumed meant that it had properly drained the battery
The garage I took it to weren’t able to fix it, but they have disconnected the fan and we have it booked in elsewhere for next week now. Having disconnected the fan, the battery is no longer draining, so at least we have a usable car again
