Hello,

I have an interesting issue on my S40. I can smell fuel and see a puddle of it on the throttle body when the car's electrical system has been turned on (but before the car has been started). The fuel is dripping down the vacuum hose, which I recently replaced as the last one was cracked and old. The new hose is silicone, larger OD but same 4mm ID, and is very snugly fit with an ear clamp on the regulator vacuum nipple. The small blue retaining clip that usually fits into the top of the regulator has fallen out.

When I turn on the car, the leak goes away. No hard starts, no rough driving. Any ideas on what this could be?
