I do not think so.

But easy for you to confirm. Go for a 15 minute drive, then stop and lay your hand on the center of each wheel. With normal brakes, they should all feel about the same temperature.

If one wheel is noticeably warmer than the others, then the brakes are dragging/rubbing, which of course will also cause higher fuel consumption.
