I had similar issues, changed similar parts. The RPM signal missing may well be your Crank Position Sensor, cheap enough to replace and can be done from above, some say easier from below but all by feel and a 10mm spanner. Myine was solve with a new (used, known good) Mass Airflow Sensor from a 740. Runs a treat now
