GLT - Grand Luxe Touring
Touring is sportier, Executive is more comfortable. For me, it's a real shame the GLT had the shorter diff, as it makes it a bit noisy at higher speeds. A GLE is far more relaxed to cruise in at autobahn speeds.
1986-88 (model year) GLEs and GLTs got electric windows.
1989 GLTs added electric mirrors. I presume the GLE would have got them too, except it was dropped for 1989.
Both were available with/without a sunroof...but most did have one.
I think (for the UK market) a GLEi was always a saloon.
