The jack has a fitment specifically designed to fit an attached reinforced point in the sill.

Why would you want to use alternatives not designed for purpose?

These are heavy cars and I other than the correct jack, i would not trust anything other than a 3t trolley jack which would be a lump to carry round.

Even using trolley jack I also use axle stands.

I really do advocate getting the correct tools.
