Yes, that's correct.

To the original poster, another thing worth noting is software updates. You'll have to visit a dealer for this, or an independent Volvo garage that has the facility to install potential updates to the transmission. A simple software update (if the transmission needs one) could stop the jerking sensation you're experiencing.

The only thing is, you won't know whether it needs a software update or not without the dealer/garage plugging diagnostics in (costs around £70), but you'll have to pay regardless of whether the transmission needs a software update or not (dealerships/garages usually charge just to plug the diagnostics in, so don't expect it to be free). Also, software updates can't be done from your DIY VIDA setup at home.

Just a note, transmission adaptions & transmission software updates are totally separate. Don't confuse them as being the same because they aren't.
