Cheapest to check is the inlet air filter, if that is clogged you get underpressure on the crankcase ventilation and more oilvapour sucktion.
But i doubt that that is resposible for that much extra oil consumption.

The other 2 main causes are the turbo bearings or the main engine.
Oil leakage on the turbobearings are checked by disconnecting the air hose of the intercooler or sound damper under the crankcase (lowest point) there is always some condensation/oil there but if its excessive it points to more clearance on the turbo bearings.

Main engine probable causes are worn valve seals ,piston rings
Do a compression test, if the compression is lower than the recommended values. Inject a bit of oil against the cilinder wall (not in the middle of the piston due to the giant pit in the piston head) .
Do a compression test again and if the compression improves , then the piston rings are worn .
If it wont improve its probably the valveseals.

The d5 you have are also prone to cillinder head gasket failure , if there is some oilchannel in the the neighbourhood it can also leak oil there .
