There is only one rod on each side. They screw onto the projecting ends of the central rack, via a track rod end joint which is integral with the track (tie) rod itself. These may well differ between the types of rack - I don't know.

It's important to determine which component is worn - either the rack itself, which is expensive, or just the rod with joint, which is cheap. The joint tends to wear in one plane only, so an expedient is to add a shim behind the screw-joint to change the angle of most-common movement by 90 degrees.

The outer track rod end is replaceable, and I'm petty certain identical between types of rack.
