Thought I'd post this as a source of info for those wondering about the longevity of the VEA D4 given recurring EGR/EGR Cooler Issues. I bought my V70 D4 approx just shy of 2 years ago with 105K miles on the clock. It had two EGR coolers and one EGR valve replacement, as well as the cylinder head and valves, disassembled and repaired. The EGR/Cooler work was carried out at 82k, the car has now just reached 158k with no issues whatsoever.

My driving has very much been long distance which is probably optimal to avoid soot buildup etc. I have just had the ECM software update carried out as part of the manifold recall (yes I know!)

Wondering if anyone else has had a similar outcome after the rectification work has been carried out?
