I'd just change it every 35 to 40,000 miles from now on. It won't last forever but if you change it again at say between 150 and 160,000 it will be 200,000 by the time a second one is due. At which time you may not even still own the car or it may be well on the way to be recycled. One large repair cost at that age would probably not be viable, although there's always the breaker-component option.
