I tow a 1500Kg Lunar Clubman with my V90cc D4; it has proved to be a very capable tow car. After changing from an XC90, the most notable difference was the vastly improved fuel consumption; I regularly see 28+ mpg, whereas the XC90 would only manage 22. Stability and road behaviour is every bit as good, and the pulling power is more than adequate.
I have the Volvo electric folding tow bar, which is brilliant and much more convenient than the removable one I had on the ‘90.
