Ouch! Got a few other quotes and none were better than the £530 and I've used that garage for a long time as their knowledge and service is excellent, so that's where I'll likely take it.

Don’t forget that there is a lot of value to paying for a service you trust (your current mechanic) so that all sounds like a good idea.
Is that on a D5 did you say? I am suprised by all the figures you mention.
