It just seems to be noisier than most other diesels, comparing to other 2l diesels when i pass/etc.
It may just be my expectations as it is 9 year old with 71k on the clock but sure it wasnt as noisy when i got it the other year.

https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=323518) and this is exactly what i see with the oil cap off. A loud clacking and vapour, so probably the same thing (annoyingly the OP never did give a resolution)
