Volvo's are capable of big miles with ease, so don't be too concerned. Obviously, they need to be maintained like anything.
Make sure you buy one with full service history that clearly shows the oil etc has been changed regularly. Also, make sure there's record of the cam belt, aux belt & tensioner being changed (particularly on a car with high mileage).
