Haha - I have a LPT (not HPT) and have always fancied the diesel. The grass is always greener.
If it were me I'd be looking at the poorer fuel economy combined with the rising fuel prices and stick for the time being. If your current car has no issues then perhaps it better keeping the devil you know? You might be stuck with a higher fuel bill and more issues to fix - ultimately up to you though
