The sensors for driver support functions (well, some of them) inhabitat the space right above the internal mirror. The windscreen you install must be the correct one for the level of driver support you have, or they will not work.
Volvo's official "we fix your windscreen for free" campaign has ended, I've learned here in Sweden. They think screens in need of a fix are fixed by now.
