I really would get your soldering-iron and multi-meter out, stop messing about and simply do it. Or learn how, it's not hard. With your sensor in hand, it's an hours work. Maybe two hours for a complete beginner.
Kowloon is full of shops for electronics, a soldering-iron won't be a challenge, else go to Lo Wu. On the SZ/Lo Wu border, they were
born with soldering-irons coming out from where the sun never shines. Some one will do it.
If it was free, in time alone any other way still looks very stupid. Lest we think of the cost? And that's before VIDA, if it's required. Working on yours is far more simple. You'll have your car running in 3-4 hours, and won't need VIDA. Unless you're looking for lots of pain, time and expense, can't see how you get much choice.
