I'm assuming he's referring to the pipe in the attached photo? If so, it's £20 quid and ten minutes work. It's very common you'll find a lot of D5 owners have had to do this, tons of information on these forums. Or you can keep the stock resonator and just replace the seals as that's usually what causes the boost leak, but it works out about the same price and generally easier to just change the whole thing.

Definitely avoid that garage in future, Those prices are nothing less than extortion.
