My 2008 is superb, and its already outlived the average Ford my nearly a year. Goodmpaint, tight shut lines, no squeaks or rattles after 14 years. I'm not sure most people even know what they they mean when they use the word "quality", but its clear the general standard of finish is very good.

My FiL tells me his first proper job was sprucing up new cars and disguising signs of rust so they could leave the showroom and go to their new owners! A 3 month anti corrosion warranty was normal in the 60s and 70s, he says.
