Hi there,

I'm new to the forum. I purchased a 2008 V50 1.8 the other week and aside from the air conditioning not working (a separate matter) I have a noticeable brake fluid leak. The reservoir needs topping up every few days.

I've noticed spotting under the car below the gearbox. The leak seems to originate from the top of the gearbox. I want to be sure that this is Dot 4 and not gearbox oil. The fluid in the reservoir seems a little cloudy also.

There also seems to be an oil leak from the shaft seal from the gearbox, but this could just be runoff from above... It's quite hard to tell.

I've attached some images and would really appreciate any advice.
