Apparently shifting into Offroad mode and driving past 40km/h (where offroad mode will disengage..) resets the adaptive "memory". "

I've done the gearbox reset described by Haldex, (it works). I now use dynamic mode normally and my V60 Cross Country gear changes are now significantly more responsive than they were when I first got the car.
