Thanks! I've already had a crack at getting the ring off but it's stuck fast; although as has just been suggested to me I could always split / cut it off. I don't have a pump (or come to think of it any suitable hose
) but could try ladeling it out or similar. The alternative is to make a hole in the underside of the tank with an awl and drain it out that way.. I'm determined to get it out one way or another as it's still registering 3/4 full on the gauge... typical the scumbag pikies would knacker the car literally straight after I'd filled it up
