I can't make anything of those pictures, they are far too big.

I thought the general rule was that if the pins have an R clip then they are giRling calipers?

But there are in fact two different sizes ofGirling rear calipers. Some pads are 62mm long, some 63mm. (Sizes from memory - anyway, some are a bit longer than the other).
The bigger ones won't fit in the smaller slot, the small one fits in a larger but will rattle horribly. You can if pushed either make up a shim out of tinplate with loops to hook round one of the pins, or grind down a larger one to fit.

I've just done that in fact. I had a stock of new pads for my previous Volvo (1992 GL) which took the larger. My new one (1991 GL) takes the smaller.

I've never encountered any non-Girling brakes, only the two sizes of Girling.
