On all models, with just one exception, the software is installed by connecting the ECU, unopened, to the equipment.
The one exception is with the old shape S and V40's where the installation is via the OBD socket.

is this the same for rica? I think it is as VT told me the upgrade was invisable but ive never opened my ecu so cant be sure.
