This I don't actually know - because the 700/900 series would be far better. I think it might be that 300's are generally cheaper to insure though. A 300 is more 'fun' but for drifting you need power, steering angle and strong drivetrains and the 700/900 series is better for all three.
As for smithy's car - can't wait to see the new dyno videos, should yield some impressive figures
