Ok I can now report back that I have got my local garage to replace the inlet manifold gasket with the new one I got from volvo. It has not made any difference to the high idle problem and its still there. I have a multimeter and I am going to try and test the Map sensor as that is the only thing I have not replaced or changed.
Another thing I would like to check is the 4 vacuum hoses that come from under the injection unit just in case any of them are going to the wrong thing.
So does anyone have a diagram of these vacuum hoses or a checklist to where they are supposed to go too?
