The first thing is how are your twin circuits arranged? One for front and one back? If so then you can put the servo in the front circuit only as used on the 1969 1800S (at least I think it is 69, it is only a single year at any event). If they are connected as an 'X' ie front left and rear right, front right and rear left, then you can't use a simple remote servo as it is only for a single circuit. In that case you'll need a servo integrated into a twin circuit master cylinder such as used on the later 1800E and 1800ES cars from 1970-3.
The original Girling remote servos used in Volvos are pretty hard to come by as many are replaced over the years with a Lockheed unit. These Lockheed units are readily available new.
