Hate to say, but they did not "mis-quote" me at all. That is what they charged for the belt change on a 2002 Diesel V40. In face it was a bit less than £200.
Just to clarify the post stated "less than £200 for a belt change only." That figure is correct, in fact it worked out at £153.25 plus the vat for the belt change. There was no mention of the cost of the toothed belt (kit) or the auxiliary. The cost of them was over and above the cost of changing them.
£263.25 for the belt change and service, the service costing £110.00 plus the cost of the consumables.
Aux' belt £18.80
Toothed belt kit £99.50.
Plus VAT.
