AFAIK the oil cooler did not change over the life of the 1800 apart from loosing the drain ****, so yes it will be the same as what you have seen on a B20E. My 1800S has been rather abused in its life. When I recommisioned the engine I flushed out a huge amount of sludge from the cooling system. I suspect that the only reason I am not getting oil/water contamination due to internal leaks in the cooler is that it is probably still clogged with sludge. I just want to remove a potential weak point in the engine and also be able to use the cheaper lower radiator hose. I may refit it at a later date so I won't be binning the parts.
