I've replaced one and found the easiest way was to have two pairs of hands. One pair to hold the rubber. Another to apply tape to hold the rubber to the metal. Install to the clips and then remove the tape.

Oh and the rubber needed trimming where the metal has some scallops missing to allow the retaining clips to pass through.
