Hello 'Gatvol', As the owner of a Ph. 1 2000 V70 10V myself, I agree with 'Jas16'. As you will know well, these are excellent well built motor cars. I don't know about the SRS light, but I doubt it's a major issue, possibly a sensor gone bad on the seat, maybe? The EML is a common issue on these cars. Mine is also on the majority of the time. It does not affect the performance or MPG and my garage tells me that it is most likely a borderline sensor and that it's OK to live with it.

If you scrap it what will you get, a few hundred at most? What will you get to replace it, and at what cost? If you are happy with the car, know both it's history and it's foibles, why not invest a few hundred in sorting the current issues and then continue to enjoy reliable, safe, comfortable, depreciation free motoring for a few more years? Much greener than a new EV in my opinion!
