While there is nothing to stop you from fitting 4 different tyres, provided each end has ones of the same construction (bias-ply/cross-ply/radial) it is probably preferable to have the same make across an axle.
The 240 estates run on 185/80/14 rather than 175/80/14 tyres; 205/70/14 have a near identical rolling radius. Going from an 80- to a 70-profile will necessitate going up 2 cross-sections to keep the speedo accurate. With 185/70s acceleration will improve but top speed and fuel economy will suffer as the gearing is shorter.
