That's interesting as I was under the impression the original uses 2 pickups one each end, somehow comparing or averaging the 2 readings.
Whereas the new contactless sensor only needs one end the other is a blank cap (or did I just leave that old one in place) although you had to dig out the sealant and do something with the pins didn't you I can't remember now fully
The video told me which end to fit which bit, I think? But it's making me wonder why you would be concerned which end was faulty if you're replacing both effectively. (One with new, one with nothing) ?
