For my own sanity I have to try something else than yet another Zenith. Since I am an amateur with little knowledge on carburetors, I think a factory original solution is the best option. I doubt I can outsmart the engineers by fitting a third party carburetor.

The only option for B16 are the dual SU carburetors the sport models came with. I have come across a set with the appropriate manifold and will give this a shot. Supposedly the sport model has a different camshaft, but I am unsure if it is necessary to change it to that type. My goal isn't performance.

Reading further on Skandix, the Weber option they offer is a bit of an hack job. Not only does the vaccum advance pipe have to be cut, but found some instructions that says the air filter doesn't fit without modifications. Part of the mounting flange has to be cut away to clear the linkages.
Considering the parts are not reproduced, I feel it is a bit of a shame to do destructive modifications.
