I've tried looking for a youtube video but all I can seem to find are ones about removing/replacing the timing belts or they are not the same model car as mine.
Can anyone post a picture of what the adjuster looks like or better still a link to a video.

I think you will find it is a stretch belt, it has slight elastic qualities, there is a special tool to help it roll on over the pulleys as you wind it on by turning the crankshaft bolt clockwise.
