So over the weekend the handle comes up 4 clicks and locks the wheels nice and today it comes up and 10 and barely bites!
Initial thoughts was a snapped cable and asked around and seems the initial consensus but I've not had time to get under and look

So issue identified - delamination of the friction material of the brake shoe
So put a rapid order in for new shoes and springs which will hopefully allow me to rectify the issue on the weekend
