My previous car 330d estate used to average 37-42mpg and I drove that like it was stolen. I miss it dearly, the XC90 is in another class however, super comfortable, really nice to drive, lots of spec, roof bars, towbar, side steps etc, so although the MPG is depressing, the functionality is exceptional and I dare not to part with it anytime soon.

My journeys are regularly less than 10 miles each way, so I'm not expecting miracles. Like you, we miss the economy of the BMW 3-litre 6.
