The cylindrical in bushing in my '99 went bad. A replacement from Volvo was only $16. THe old one slid out and the new one slid in.
Here the mounting arm went directly to the firewall and the poly transmitted tremendous vibration.
My '02 (square style) gave up the ghost and replacing it with a poly came with only a touch of vibration and a better driving feel. I used the 'yellow' bushing. FYI: SOme of those poly products are colour coded for stiffness.
