Had a little play with it.. it's in time with every fifth detonation expected for the noise, it's not locked up - managed to start it with a known good battery (running four cylinders and shaking everything to hell/screeching)
Contemplating checking the water pump but I'll get shot by other half if I use the 3 days leave playing with the car
