Having read all the comments, I have to say my position has moved, inthat I'm more inclined to sit pat, at least until December(MOT) The crack is not in my eye line, is not distracting ( especially as I have removed the chalk used to highlight it in photo) and I currently have no other issues ( leaks/rust) with the current glass. This I feel is not 100% guaranteed with a replacement.
That said the crack could suddenly get bigger and then I'd have to jump. Additionally, being with out the car for a time would not be an issue, as I also run a knackered Jazz which could be pressed into additional service rather than just the 5 mile local stuff.
