Certainly can. All you need to do is get your hands on the source code and adapt it to read different maps.

No problem at all if you have internal Mitsubishi navigation system programming experience, as well as Google Maps programming experience, and a team of the right people with the right development tools and hardware to test on, as well as the correct commercial people to organise the required licenses.
