I had this last year… getting the cluster out is an exercise is swearing to get the surround off, but once that’s off it’s fairly plain sailing.

Separate the clear plastic from the white part - carefully remove all the screws and gently pry them apart. If you meet resistance you’ve probably missed a screw. Extract the speedo and examine the solder joints. I didn’t have any blown capacitors but I did find a lot of verdigris on the copper parts. Get in there with plenty of contact cleaner and a toothbrush, toothpick (gently does it, slow and steady wins the race).

Put it back together again and hopefully it will all work again.
