Xenon headlight ballast replacement.
For the last few weeks I've had an intermittent 'bulb failure' warning for one of my xenon headlights and decided,from the symptoms,it was probably the ballast. Changing the ballast took less than 2 minutes - checking the bulb and connectors/igniter similar, getting the bumper off, and back on again,to get the headlight out, took the best part of an hour! A combination of rusted bolts,fragile plastic 'rivets' and 'tired' plastics made for a frustrating experience.
What else did I do? Vowed to avoid owning cars that require substantial dismantling to accomplish what should be simple tasks.
