4-cyl Volvo VEA engines, however, get rid of dpf soot much sooner even at moderate higway speeds (with so-called passive regeneration).
It is the 5 cyl, AWD D5 XC60 I drive and have done for 5 years now. So I have to assume the car is doing everything it should, when it should as I’ve never seen a msg or light indicating a soot problem.
I have since my early cars used Red-Ex on a regular basis but the last 12 months switched to a “Cetane Booster” at every fill, at a rate of 1ml - 1 litre (12 months motoring = approx 500ml). It may help, I’m hoping it does.
