Driving into work this morning which is 30 miles in and 30 miles home the car in front accelerated and plums of black soot was coming out.

100M down the road my soot full message appeared on the dash and the car stopped and will no longer start.

I am pretty sure its not my DPF as the car gets driven very hard twice a day and its far to coincidental that this happen when the car in front was pluming really thick black smoke.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, even if i could get it to start and limp to a mechanic.
