I tested the scheduled charging again and one thing I noticed was that when changing the time, you not only had to confirm the change via the tick checkbox (top right) but also see the spinning update icon (next to the car symbol) start and stop to confirm that the car received it. Without this second aspect completing, the schedule function didn't work.

I also had to contact Volvo on call support as the journal function had stopped working, (no info loading from the car). They advised to uninstall and reinstall the app. That seemed to sort it out. Seems to be a common solution to the app problems
