Looks good Alan - do my eyes decieve me or is there a convenient hole in the hinge arm just above where the ram connects? Thinking maybe you could hook the bungees through that and then bring the loop back to the spring if so?

I suspect you're right about the spoiler being the fly in the ointment in terms of the strength of the rams/struts, intereseting there's a convenient point to mount that extension spring, perhaps how it was done on older models?
